Introducing "Obtuse", a classic 1992 Sabre 425 masthead sloop, one of only 28 built in the beautiful state of Maine. She sports brand new ROD RIGGING by Annapolis Rigging plus a 46 hp Westerbeke diesel with only 1292 hours and a quality, recently removed and refurbished Seapower 5kw generator that runs off the engine via a large serpentine belt perfect for AC while underway.
She sleeps seven, has a large private cabin forward with a double berth & vanity with stainless steel sink, 3 salon berths, a private aft cabin with a double berth, leather upholstery throughout, a separate navigation station, aft head w/stall shower, large galley with a Regal stovetop and oven, microwave oven, ac/dc refrigeration with cold plates, a double stainless steel sink, a stainless steel water heater; plus lots of storage areas for plates, bowls, food and utensils..
Electronics include a Standard Horizon Titan marine VHF with AIS; an ICOM IC-M930 handheld VHF; SGC - SG2000 single side band transceiver; and a Raymarine C90-W chart plotter; Raymarine Tri-Data (depth, wind and speed); and a brand new Raymarine Auto-Pilot mounted at the helm pedestal.
Deck equipment includes a Maxwell electric windlass; 4 large Lewmar winches in the cockpit for sail handling (cleaned and lubricated yearly); 8 additional winches on cabin top for halyards and spinnaker control; 4 large stainless steel Dorade vents for ventilation of the cabin below; stainless steel stanchions and life lines with gates; large stainless railings surrounding the mast area for crew safety at sea. Marine canvas bimini and helm cover plus covers for all winches.
Electrical components include 3 - 100 amp hour (Group 31) batteries; a Motorola 90 amp alternator; a Raritan Crown IIB converter and a Statpower 250 inverter; plus there is a 50' Marinco 50 amp shore power cable.
Sails include a mainsail; headsail with roller furling; two additional headsails; a cruising spinnaker and an asymmetrical spinnaker plus a storm tri-sail.
The propeller is bronze with a stainless steel shaft that includes a SPURS line, net and weed cutter. Wing keel - 5' draft.
"OBTUSE" is a heavily built cruising boat that is perfect for the Chesapeake Bay, the Bahamas and beyond.
