Puffin 50, designed by Olivier F. van Meer and fitted with the cleverly constructed centreboard keel, which has made yachts like the renowned Puffin so popular. Because of its shallow draught, the ship has almost unlimited access. Her retractable centreboard (1.65 draft when centreboard up, 3.10 when centreboard is down) allows for shallow draft destinations. The deck-house has been designed to ensure a commodious deck-saloon with a marvellous panoramic view. A large space joins the saloon and the below-deck pantry, together with the beautifully shaped cockpit all areas are cleverly connected. The Puffin 50 is a true ship to live in, above and below deck. Very solidly constructed, service - friendly. Fully equipped for live aboard and comfortable cruising. Little Sarah underwent extensive refits from 2018 to 2024.

EXTRA INFO
The main engine has a closed keel cooling system, which offers several advantages: Corrosion Protection, since the cooling fluid circulates in a closed loop and does not directly use seawater, it protects the engine and cooling system from corrosion caused by the high salt content in seawater. The system provides consistent cooling performance as the coolant is specifically designed for optimal heat transfer, leading to more stable engine temperatures and improved efficiency. By isolating the engine from seawater, the system minimizes wear and tear, extending the lifespan of the engine and related components. Closed keel cooling systems are not affected by varying water conditions (e.g., salinity, temperature, or pollution), making them more reliable in diverse marine environments. This design enhances the overall reliability and durability of the main engine while reducing operating costs and downtime.
