Description
Update: The boat was hauled out for pre-seasonal works on April 9th, 2025. She will be back on water 2 months later. Potential clients have a chance to see the bottom.
The Sun Odyssey 42.2 is a French sailboat that was designed by Guy Ribadeau Dumas as an offshore cruiser and was first built in 1995. The design was built by Jeanneau in France, from 1995 until 2000 but it is now out of production.
The Sun Odyssey 42.2 is a recreational keelboat, built predominantly of fibreglass, with wood trim. It has a masthead sloop rig, a raked stem, a reverse transom with steps to a swim platform, an internally mounted spade-type rudder controlled by a wheel, and a fixed fin keel. It displaces 8,400 kg and carries 2,610 kg of ballast. The boat has a draft of 2.00 m with the standard keel.
The boat is fitted with a 56-hp diesel engine for docking and manoeuvring. The fuel tank is 170 L, and the freshwater tank has a capacity of 460 L. There has been no reported damage (tornado, accident, etc.) on board. There is no osmosis on the hull.
The design was built in three cabins version. In this version; the boat has sleeping accommodation for six people, with a double "V"-berth in the bow cabin, two "L"-shaped settees in the main cabin, and two aft cabins, both with double berths. The gallery is located amidships on the port side. The galley has a straight layout and is equipped with a four-burner stove, a freezer, and a double sink. A navigation station is aft of the galley, on the port side. There are two heads, one just aft of the bow cabin on the starboard side and one on the starboard side just forward of the starboard aft cabin.
The boat is located in Marmaris / Turkey and is for sale from the second owner. She is in good condition when we take into consideration the boat's age. Demonstrations will be made during the working hours of the week. Appointments are needed to see the boat. Please make an appointment at least 3 days before your planned visit.
