Description

The Jongert 40T is designed and built to satisfy everything a sailor could wish for in a super class yacht. Interior designer Peter Sijm has struck an harmonious balance between the necessities of life afloat and sheer luxury. The carefully crafted mahogany woodwork underlines the unique quality of this yacht. The full-width master suite (in the stern) has its own access directly to the decksalon and features a queen-sized bed as well as an additional berth. There is also a private sitting area with a TV and an office for the owner. Abundant natural light from the large windows in the stern gives this spectacular area a wonderfully light and airy feeling and enhances the natural glow of the beautifully crafted mahogany joinery. The Jongert 40T features three guest cabins aft, two guest cabins starboard (each with two spacious beds), and a guest stateroom with a large queen-sized bed to port. All cabins have their own private bathroom with separate showers and individual air-conditioning. Forward of the salon, with a separate entrance on deck, are two crew cabins, a dinette, and a galley equipped to a professional standard. The engine room, with access from the crew area, has special thermal and acoustic insulation, and exhaust gases and cooling water are separated and discharged silently below the waterline. Hydraulic furling systems on all sails make the Jongert 40T easily handled under sail. From the outside steering position there is an unobstructed view over the whole yacht. In the decksalon, which has comfortable seating and a panoramic view, there is an additional steering position, which ensures pleasurable sailing even in bad weather. In harbors and anchorages this extraordinary yacht has a unique advantage in that it has been fitted with the patented Jongert folding keel that enables the draught to be reduced from 4.85 m - 15-feet 9-inches to a mere 2.65 m - 8-feet 7-inches. Jongert B.V. Since 1953 Jongert has been building some of the best and prettiest sailing yachts in the world. In that time they have built more than 300 such yachts, each one setting new standards in technical innovation, fine craftsmanship, safety, and reliability. It is this combination of traditional Dutch shipbuilding skills and advanced technology that makes a Jongert different from any other yacht and a durable and lasting investment.
