Layout

You enter the ship from the main deck, where there is a lovely recessed cockpit with fixed benches. From here, you enter the salon, with several comfortable sofas. A staircase leads down to the bar with a dining area, where you can offer guests a refreshing drink. There are also the toilet facilities. Further forward is a separate room with fixed benches, tables, and a projector. This room can be ideally converted into multiple bedrooms. In extension, there is a cabin with 2 bunk beds and a shower with a sink.

From the salon, you also have access to the professional kitchen, equipped with an induction cooktop, fast dishwasher, combi steam oven, refrigerator for daily items, and a 3-cubic meter cold storage unit under the salon, 3 freezers, and a large storage area. From the kitchen, you can access the aft cabin with a washing machine and an office. Here is also all the technology for starting generators, an AED, and a fire alarm system. The entrance to the engine room is from the outside via the cockpit.

Technology

The ship was built in Ooltgensplaat at the Plaete shipyard in 2001 and was completed in 2002 in Numansdorp. The Hoop op Zegen was launched in April 2002. The ship is fully certified until July 2030. Propulsion is provided by a Mitsubishi engine of 185 hp and a 360-degree bow thruster of 125 hp. There are 2 whisper generator sets of 15 and 20 kva respectively. The steering system is hand hydraulic, and the stainless steel sail winch, lowering winch, sheet winch, daggerboard winches, and anchor winch can be operated electrically.

On board, there is a 4000-liter water tank, a 2000-liter waste water tank, and a 3000-liter diesel tank. The round timber is glued from Oregon Pine, including 1 mast, 1 boom, gaff, bowsprit, jib boom, and goat legs, and is in excellent condition.
