Description
Beautiful 36 ft. Pilothouse Steel Cutter steel sloop, Brent Swain design, custom built in British Columbia in 2002. A very stout and capable boat built to sail around the world, Dove is a unique boat. Take care of her and she'll take care of you. She offers the affordability of ownership compared with production boats which require production components. On Dove, nearly everything was made custom for her, and all you need is a good welder or steel fabricator to do most work.
Inside: All western red cedar and pine down below. Outside all steel = minimal maintenance - just keep it painted and the rust away!
Located in San Blas, Mexico – a haven for yacht enthusiasts. The bay boasts marinas offering full-service facilities such as fueling, repairs, and high-end dining options. It’s not just about amenities; the allure of the port lies in its pristine waters, exceptional biodiversity, and breathtaking sunsets, offering an unforgettable nautical experience. Come and let the experts in yacht ownership here in Mexico show you how easy it is to begin your cruising dreams today!
History by Owner
History: Built in Nanaimo in 2002 by Winston Bushnell, this was Bushnell's 4th boat. He circumnavigaed and completed the northwest passage in Dove II and III and I believe Dove IV was was his masterpiece.
Since buying her in 2017, I chartered her in Avila Beach as a whale watching sailing experience for 3 years. When covid hit I sailed her to Mexico where she has been ever since.
Time and life have moved on and it is time for me to move on as well. I hope she goes to someone who loved her as much as I!
