Malolo is a custom-built 55-foot performance cruising sailboat, engineered with an emphasis on structural strength, weight control, and offshore durability. MISCELLANEOUS
- Malolo’s hull and underwater profile reflect ongoing care and structural attention, with key components addressed and maintained over time.
- Bottom paint was last applied in June 2023. A recent diver inspection reported the bottom in good overall condition with only minor areas of paint wear noted.
- The keel was replaced in January 2013, at which time new keel bolts were installed.
- A previous area of deck core compression/delamination at the starboard winch island was professionally repaired and reinforced with a ½-inch G-10 backing plate in 2017.
