DUFOUR 44
Very beautiful "cruiser-racer" sailboat, in very good condition.
The DUFOUR 44 is a boat highly appreciated by sailors for its great maneuverability and very fine steering feel. An excellent boat for both regattas and cruising, very seaworthy and very "secure" in rough weather.
The keel is made of lead, unlike classic cruising sailboats, and the through-mast is attached to the keel. This makes the boat stiff under sail and very responsive.
The rigging was renewed in June 2021:
- The genoa furler replaced with a new one: FACNOR LS200, identical to the original
- The forestay and 2 shrouds replaced
- The lazy bag and the "crystal" of the bimini are new (2023)
- The bimini and the dodger were replaced in October 2017
- The backstay was replaced in May 2016
- The Sail Drive seal has not been replaced; it was checked by the shipyard, which concluded that it did not need changing
- The engine maintenance has been done by a professional
- The boat is equipped with a J PROP folding 3-blade propeller
- The genoa is from Delta Voiles, the mainsail is a very sturdy sail with 2 reefs from Ettore Yachting
- Engine Volvo Penta D2 55 HP, 750 engine hours
The boat has had only one owner and was delivered on May 17, 2007
The boat is sold without a berth.
