Description

"Notorious" is an IRC / ORCi TP52 from the drawing board at Botin and is the ex-ETNZ boat that has proven to be well ahead of her design years.

Campaigned in Australia as "Hooligan" after her Med Cup career, she was then optimized for IRC racing and prepared once again to a high level.
Most recently brought to the UK by one of the countries leading yachtsman, she was given a complete new lease of life in her 2023/24 refit, thanks to countless optimizations and upgrades to her inventory, hardware and systems, including a new keel design.
Since returning to European shores, her competitiveness has not been questioned and this is no doubt a very fast and reliable boat that has plenty to offer her next campaigner, who also benefits from some nice age allowance under IRC rating.

Nothing further required for her next campaign. she is now packed up and ready to ship, looking for her next race track.

Rig

Notorious has a Southern Spars mast and boom package, with lengthened IRC bowsprit, both of which have been setup for 'round the cans' style racing, not just windward/leeward type courses.

Ultra high modulus mast tube, exceeding what is now permitted in the Super Series fleet, ensures this rig is stiff and strong enough to take the increasing demands that the sail designers require.
Fitted new in 2022 was the EC6 standing rigging (now due for service), she is well prepared for inshore or short coastal style courses, but of course with the option of adding further updates to allow full offshore competition too.

All new sheets and halyards in 2024.
Gorilla foil on headstay
Main, jib and masthead locks
Lengthened bowsprit with 2:1 capacity
Three spreader configuration
Genoa staysail sheave point added.
