Description
Sailing yacht Solutus is an exceptional long-distance vessel. The current owners commissioned Brune Yachtbau in Germany (A yard that is known for its design and construction of high-quality yachts) to build a seaworthy, comfortable, and versatile passage maker that is easy to handle, even in difficult conditions. Solutus has been built to the highest quality standards possible, and only the best suppliers, materials, and engineers have made this possible. With her vertical hydraulic lifting keel, her epoxy (glass fibre with carbon and aramid reinforcements) hull, her carbon rig, Park Avenue boom, three watertight compartments, crash zone in the bow, many trim possibilities, extensive sail wardrobe, not to mention the exhaustive range of technical systems under deck and comprehensive B&G electronics, she is perfect for long-haul blue water sailing and a dream come true for those who want to sail the oceans in all comfort.
The interior of this B60 Pilothouse yacht is just as awe-inspiring and well-designed as the exterior. The pilothouse offers 360° views and features a comprehensively equipped navigation corner to port side, and a dinette area that can easily be converted into a two-meter-long sea berth to starboard side. A few steps down is the saloon with a huge u-shaped dining area to port side and the well-equipped galley to starboard. There is also an office area and ample storage room aft of the saloon. The owner’s area is located forward and features a double bed, a wardrobe and an en-suite bathroom with a washbasin, shower, vacuum toilet, and a towel heater. The guest cabin to starboard aft has a double bed, a wardrobe and an en-suite bathroom with a wash basin, shower, vacuum toilet, and a towel heater. Originally there was a second guest cabin aft to port. This cabin has been converted into an impressive walk-in machine room. Solutus offers generous head room and is furthermore fitted out with a diesel central heating system, and a reverse cycle air conditioning system. The Latin word ‘Solutus’ means ‘unbound’ or ‘free’. The name given to her could not have been better.
