Description

Sirius-Werft GmbH build high quality semi custom deck saloon yachts. The Sirius 40DS is the flagship model. "Quoodle" is in her first ownership, was specified to high level and is in excellent condition.

Full liveaboard, long range cruising capability with accommodation in 3 x double cabins with the option to convert the saloon to a double. A well appointed galley including full size fridge, separate freezer and dishwasher. Workshop, masses of storage, Sapele Mahogany gives a rich feel and the light cherry floors gives a touch of modernity.

Cutter rigged - In mast furling, Furlex 300E electric Genoa furler, cutter furling Jib rigged as a self tacking sail. Code O on a top down furler. Electric winch for primary control lines and halyards.

Twin keels (1.45m) with central rudder for drying out capability. Volvo D2-75F, 75hp engine and bow thruster. Flexiteek deck for ease of maintenance and longevity.

  • 1 x large, deep under floor storage compartment with hanging rail for lifejackets/general storage and a compartment fitted out with two bins beneath the navigators seat.
  • There is a storage draw under the saloon access steps and under the forward corridor access steps.
  • Every section of floor either allows access to essential areas for maintenance or is utilised for storage.

Workshop / electrical area.

  • There is a hinged section in the raised saloon seating which rotates forward, revealing steps down to a large workshop area. This also houses the electrical systems.
  • Engine access.
  • Tool box station.
  • Work bench with two drawers.
  • Storage position for the Torqueedo outboard.
  • Storage position for the Dyson hoover and dockside collapsible trolley.

Accommodation areas

Saloon area

  • To port is a raised U shaped seating area with large table. This is a lovely ambient area with full panoramic views.
  • There is a storage area behind the back rest for books and other items.
  • Double glazed windows made in security glass with aluminium frames. There are two opening windows, one port and one starboard which are single glazed.
  • The table has a bespoke plastic topper which covers a chart.
  • The table lowers to allow this area to be converted to a large double berth which is approx.1.45m x 2.43m.
  • There is a central storage unit incorporated into the table arrangement, which runs from floor height to table top. This houses the NEFF microwave/combi oven and fitted out with organisers for crockery.
  • At the forward end of the seating is another bank of drawers fitted out with organisers which runs from floor height to seat top. Top two drawers set out for cutlery, the third houses the eclectic kettle and general storage along with the 4th.
  • Two shelves with fiddles forward.

Navigation station / internal helm.

  • To starboard is a forward facing chart table. The table has internal storage.
  • Portner navigators high back adjustable chair with arm rests.
  • In the chart table pedestal are a bank of drawers. The top drawer for general essentials, the second is fitted out for culinary preparation knife wear and essentials, the third and fourth house other galley wear.
  • Behind the nav.station is a cupboard for wet hanging with a shelf above and access to the aft cabin via a bifold door.
  • There is a Raymarine Axiom chart plotter mounted in a raised unit.
  • A Raymarine P70R autopilot control is mounted in a Mahogany wedge which is a wandering unit for controlling the steering whilst inside. There are also secondary engine controls at the nav. station.
  • The ships electrical distribution panel is here, along with - VHF, Pioneer stereo system, Webasto heating control, electronic gas valve, Victron battery control panel & Active X band Echomax radar reflector.

Galley

  • Forward of the nav. station is the L shaped galley with Corian counter top.
  • Good work surface area extended by sink and cooker covers.
  • Cupboard with sliding door fronts and ambient light dedicated for drinking vessels. 
  • 1+1/2 stainless steel sinks with mixer tap.
  • Top loading Isotherm fridge / freezer.

  • The stern bathing platform is electro-hydraulic and incorporates a opening door to starboard and a folding boarding ladder to starboard.
  • Integrated secondary bathing ladder is housed in a stern recess.
  • There is a side rail ladder for the opening side gates. and a specific bow ladder.
  • Stainless steel davits which rotate inward when not in use.
  • Stainless steel hand rail to starboard at the entrance to the deck saloon. This is area is also utilised as an occasional cockpit storage shelf.
  • Large port cockpit locker fitted out with shelves, hangers and outboard mount.
  • Shallow shelf locker to starboard.
  • Large anchor locker with double lid.
  • Stainless steel bow cover to avoid anchor damage.
  • 25kg Rocna anchor deploys from an integrated roller which sits under the bowsprit.
  • 50m x 10mm galvanised chain.
  • Lewmar Tigres 1500W electric anchor windlass with warping drum situated in the anchor well. Electric control switches in the anchor locker and at the external helm.
