The 349 is the first of the new “more modern” hull designs introduced by Jeanneau with it’s hard chine which provides more volume in the boat below as well as above decks as well as more stability to the boat helping it to sit more upright .. resisting heel …in the gusts by providing more “Form Stability.” 

To add to this more modern designs are the twin rudders that are more hydrodynamic reducing drag thereby increases speed and improves tracking and eases steering pressure and reducing weather helm. 

Forward the almost vertical stem brings a very modern look and helps increase waterline length and thus more speed and easily parts oncoming waves. 

The 349 has a modern sail plan with a 110% easy to tack head sail and tacking is a breeze and when done well no need to use winches. 

The 349's Twin Helms opens up the cockpit to the expansive fold down transom transforming the 349 into a feeling that  you are on a much larger vessel. When in the Down Position the swim platform affords easy access to and from the dock, the dinghy and with an integrated SS swim ladder easy access to and from the water for maximum enjoyment. 

Easy to use sailing included all lines led to the cockpit.

Cockpit is expansive and Harken deck wear brings a high level of quality to the mix.

The aft section of the boat also includes a life raft storage area for those who wish to sail further afield. A large cockpit table makes dining for up to 6  - skipper and crew a breeze.

To reduce weight aloft the rig has swept back spreaders and the deck is injected molded to increase quality and reduce weight both lowering the centre of gravity thus adding to the 349’s more sea kindly performance with reduced heeling as compared to less modern hull forms.

The Hull is solid glass for strength and rigidity and resistance to water intrusion.
