CONSTRUCTION

RCD Status:

•    We understand that the yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorised A – “Ocean” for up to 14 crew.

Hull Construction:

•    The hull is hand-laid with a laminate schedule that includes an outer layer of vinylester resins to stave off osmotic blistering. 

•    Vacuum infused with discontinuous, end-grain balsa. Solid laminate in keel area.

•    Bulkheads are bonded to both the hull and deck with high-performance polyurethane adhesives to ensure rigidity.

•    Moulded structural grid, both glued and laminated to the hull, for stiffness.

•    White gelcoat hull finish. Isophtalic NG gelcoats used to ensure bright and lasting finish.

Deck & Superstructure construction:

•    Prisma Process® injection moulded balsa-cored deck structure

•    Teak laid side decks and cockpit

Keel & Rudder:

•    2.24m draft L-shaped keel epoxy encapsulated cast-iron keel

•    Balanced rudder with foam core and GRP skin, composite rudder shaft and Jefa auto-aligning bearings
