Description

NO RETREAT is hull #2 of the Hylas 57, designed by Bill Dixon and built by Queen Long Marine, a family-owned, third-generation shipyard that has been building Hylas Yachts for over 40 years. She represents the modern evolution of the bluewater center-cockpit cruiser: a vacuum-infused composite hull with twin rudders, bow and stern watertight bulkheads, and a Jefa torque-tube steering system that links the rudders and providing superior redundancy. A shoal-draft lead keel, a powerful yet easily managed double-headsail rig, and a contemporary raised-salon interior make her a serious passagemaker with very modern livability.

Her deck layout and systems are purpose-built for single-handed sailing – or even easier with an extra deckhand. All working sails are hydraulic furling, and Harken 60 Rewind electric primary winches handle the genoa, self-tacking jib, and mainsheet, allowing push-button sail trim from both the helm or at the winches. Engine and proportional bow/stern thruster controls are at both helms, alongside Raymarine MFDs, P70 autopilot controls, i70 instruments, Raymarine touchpad remotes, augmented-reality cameras, and an ACR spotlight. The capability for two autopilot drive units with a selector switch, with the watertight bulkheads, and a highly developed bilge system add true bluewater redundancy.

Below decks, NO RETREAT offers the “luxury yacht apartment feel” with a modern raised-salon yacht plus the practicality expected of a serious passagemaker: a full-beam aft owner’s suite (with king bed), a generous guest cabin forward, a third cabin with over/under bunks, two large heads with separate stall showers, an open galley, excellent machinery access, and impressive tankage and storage. European white oak cabinetry, parquet sole, large hull windows, soft LED lighting, four Dometic air conditioning zones, Sonos surround sound with Samsung smart TVs, Starlink Gen3, and a robust 24V electrical system create a very current, turn-key cruising platform.

The owner is the past owner of a 120' sailing yacht and is accustomed to superyacht-level maintenance requirements. Under his stewardship, NO RETREAT has been treated with the utmost care, with recent services including fresh bottom paint in Fall 2025 and Semco-sealed teak decks.

NO RETREAT, hull #2 of the Hylas 57, is one of the most comprehensively outfitted and carefully maintained examples of this award-winning design. The hydraulic furling North Sails inventory, Harken 60 Rewind primaries driving the genoa, jib, and mainsheet, proportional bow and stern thrusters, dual autopilot drives with selector, bow and stern watertight bulkheads, and a deeply redundant bilge and monitoring system check every bluewater-safety box.

Equally important is the level of care: Her owner is the former owner of a 120' sailing yacht and is accustomed to superyacht-level maintenance standards. Under his ownership, NO RETREAT has benefited from thoughtful upgrades, disciplined servicing, fresh bottom paint (Fall 2025), and Semco-sealed teak decks, presenting as a truly turn-key yacht.

From her Pearl Gray Alexseal topsides, teak decks, and hydraulic swim platform to the bright, contemporary interior and robust 24V electrical and mechanical systems, NO RETREAT stands out as a no-compromise option for a buyer who wants a near-new, fully-found bluewater yacht without the wait of a new build. She is ICW- and Bahamas-friendly, offshore-ready, and equally suited to seasonal coastal cruising or a full circumnavigation.
