Construction

RCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC or RCDII (2013/53/EU as appropriate (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorised A – “Ocean”.

 

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

• Composite construction with high density foam core providing exceptional stiffness and insulation. Laid up with vacuum technology for complete structural integrity.
• Vinylester resins are used throughout the hull for added strength and osmosis prevention.
• 2 x Layers of epoxy applied to hull as a barrier against moisture ingress.
• A layer of Kevlar for added impact resistance in the forward area of the hull.
• Carbon fibre used in high load areas of the hull structure for added strength.
• Watertight bulkheads forward and aft providing sealed buoyancy and safety.
• Hull colour Black Blue RAL 5004, boot top gel coat twin colour Discovery Red RAL 3020 lower White, cavita line in Gold vinyl.
• Copper coat antifoul. Lift out, hull polish, touch up and refresh of copper coat April 2025.
• Composite construction deck with sandwich core providing strength and stiffness with thermal and acoustic insulation resulting in a strong but light deck.
• All load-bearing areas have marine-ply core and stainless steel or aluminium backing plates for added strength.
• Hull to deck is joined with an overlapping flange, using urethane acrylate paste and stainless bolts for strength.
• All bulkheads are over-bonded to the deck for strength and stiffness.
• Twin vertical hull port lights to both sides of hull in Owners cabin.
• Mixed plank PermaTeak on all flat deck surfaces, capping rail, transom steps and bathing platform – difficult to distinguish from real teak, virtually maintenance free and can be jet washed.

Electrical Systems

Voltage Systems:

• 12V, 24V and 230V systems with battery charger support.
• 230V power sockets throughout.  These are waterproof when sited in exposed areas e.g. Starboard lazarette locker for inflating fenders etc.
• Marine-grade tinned cabling is used throughout. This reduces corrosion and provides longevity of all electrical systems.
• Czone electrical system - digital control and wiring system in lieu of a switch panel.
• Sentinel Marine yacht security remote position monitoring, boat monitoring and control system operated from iPhone App which links into the Czone electronic control system e.g. anchor light, spreader lights, spreader down lights, boom lights, deck lights and other key boat lights can be turned on and off remotely as can the boat modes and certain other equipment e.g. fridge, freezer, AC and immersion heater – number of remote switches and sensors depends on Sentinel Marine subscription level.
• 12V socket fitted to navigation desk, pedestal, mast and Starboard lazarette.
• 12v USB A sockets in Owners/Guest 1/Guest 2 cabins and at chart table.

 

Battery Banks:

• House – 4 x Mastervolt Lithium batteries 800 Ah at 24v . State of charge can be viewed from Sentinel App.
• The house batteries can easily run the AC overnight in the Owners/Guest 1 and Guest 2 cabins overnight avoiding using the Genset at night.
• Engine starter battery.
• Genset starter battery.
• Bow thruster – separate local battery banks for each thruster 

 

Battery Chargers:

• House battery charging via 240v shore power via Mastervolt GI7 Isolation Transformer and 2 x Mastervolt 24/3500 Inverter Chargers.
• House battery charging via 110v shore power via Mastervolt ChargeMaster 24/100-3.
• House battery charging via engine Mastervolt 24/110 Alpha Alternator.
• House battery charging via on-board 240v Onan generator and inverter/chargers. 
• The house battery pack is charged very quickly running the Genset and the Engine simultaneously while say lifting the anchor and motoring out of an anchorage.
• Mastervolt Solar charger (only 2 panels currently mounted), wiring to sprayhood and helm fixed bimini.
• Thruster batteries are charged via Mastervolt Magic DC/DC chargers.
• Engine and Genset batteries have a separate 240v Mastervolt charger from shore power. 

 

Alternators:

• 60 Amp (12v) alternator for charging the start-battery.
• 110 Amp (24v) alternator with intelligent regulators for charging house batteries.

 

Generator:

• Onan 240v 50Hz 7 KVA generator.
• Generator hours 507 (November 2025).
• Onan digital readout at electric panel.

 

Shore Power:

• 230v/50Hz shore power.
• 32 Amp 15m (16 yard) shore power cable with female socket and LED ‘power on’ light.

 

Other Electrical:

• Mastervolt GI7 Isolation transformer to provide highest level electrical safety on board and galvanic protection, irrespective of incoming voltage.

Plumbing Systems

Fresh Water & Water Heating System:

• 24v Pressurised hot and cold water. 
• Saltwater pressurised deck & anchor hose located in chain locker.
• Deck freshwater tap under grate in cockpit.
• Hot and cold freshwater shower at transom. Alternative turn on-off at handle for ease-of-use water savings. 
• Twin-coil 75 litre insulated calorifier with immersion heater allows heating via engine or heating system. Czone allows for 1 hour timed program that can also be activated remotely from Sentinel App.
• Seacocks made of Marelon (nylon) which resists corrosion.

 

Watermaker:

• Dessolator 24V DC watermaker – making 100 litres per hour.
• Watermaker hours 445  (November 2025).

Bilge Pumps:

• 4 x Electric automatic bilge pumps with 3-way control - auto/on/off with high level alarm. Main bilge/saloon, Forward Sail locker, Starboard lazarette and Port lazarette.
• Manual bilge pump operated from cockpit.
• 2nd Manual bilge pump operated from saloon.

Tankage

• Czone fuel and water tank gauge for quick and easy reference – can also be viewed from Sentinel App.

 

Fuel:

• Total capacity of 1,300 litres.
• 2 x Polyethylene fuel tanks, which are corrosion resistant, strong, and light weight.

 

Fresh Water:

• Total capacity of 930 litres.
• 2 x Polyethylene tanks for reliability.
• Dessolator 24V DC watermaker – making 100 litres per hour.
• Watermaker hours 445  (November 2025).

 

Grey/Blackwater Holding Tanks:

• Blackwater holding tanks - 2 x 80 litres. one in each heads.
• Greywater tank of 115 litres. Installation with level sensor, pump out to sea and deck suction port.

 

Gas:

• Permanent gas supply and bayonet fitting for push pit-mounted BBQ.
• Gas locker to house 2 x 6kg propane bottles.
• Gas adapter kit to fit various bottle types.

Navigation Equipment

• 1 x Raymarine Axiom+ 12RV MFD with integral RealVision 3D, 600W sonar/fish finder at chart table. 
• 1 x Raymarine Axiom 12 Pro-S MFD starboard pedestal. 
• 1 x Raymarine Axiom 12 Pro-S MFD port pedestal.

• Starlink Marine satellite broadband mounted on coms pole on transom.

Domestic Equipment

Galley:

• GN Espace Ocean Chef XL 5 burner hob gimbaled, stainless steel gas cooker with 5 burners, grill, oven, harbour lock.
• Cooker hood extractor fan.
• 230V microwave/convection  oven.
• Electric solenoid gas safety shut-off valve.
• 300L fridge and 170L freezer, both keel cooled and 24V.
• Seagull filter on drinking water tap.
• Additional foot-operated freshwater pump that can be switched over to salt water.

 Heads/Showers:

• Miele washer/dryer fitted forward starboard in saloon.
• 24V Tecma electric flush toilets using either fresh or saltwater, with macerator and blackwater tanks (2 x 80 litres).

 

Heating & Ventilation:

• Frigomar AC which has the advantage of running using inverter drives and variable speed compressors making it much more efficient, quieter running, longer compressor life and impressively low power consumption compared to the standard spec systems at the time of build. This efficiency enables the sleeping accommodation AC to be run overnight on the house batteries without using the Genset so the Genset can be turned off before going to bed and the AC can be left on.  Each unit can also be set to turn itself off after a certain number of hours of operation. The size of the units installed was also upgraded so the interior can be maintained at a very comfortable temperature however hot on deck.
• Saloon has one 12,000 BTU AC unit to port serving the saloon and the galley and a 10,000 BTU unit to starboard behind the washing machine installation serving saloon only.
• Owners Cabin contains one 12,000 BTU unit servicing just the one cabin.
• Guest cabin 2 contains one 10,000 BTU unit covering Guest Cabin 1 and Guest Cabin 2. 
• Eberspacher Hydronic M10 central heating throughout.
• Fans fitted in each cabin, saloon and galley.
• 3 x Low profile dorades in forward cabins and forward heads and two under pedestal seats for master cabin - providing excellent ventilation. Forward cabin has an additional hatch.

 

Entertainment:

• Fusion Apollo 770 system in saloon with SG-DA61500 amplifier. 4 x ceiling speakers covering Saloon and Galley. 2 x cockpit speakers.
• Fusion SRX 400 system in Owners cabin with 2 ceiling speakers.  This system can be run linked to the Apollo 770. 
• Rise and fall smart TV to starboard side of saloon.

• LED navigation lights, including tricolour, anchor light and steaming light and foredeck light.

• Custom carbon fibre electric davits made by Atlas. These allow the dinghy to be raised outboard missing the transom and then brought in on travellers to be stowed. When the dinghy is stowed the davits are sufficiently high to allow the bathing platform to be used and access can be improved by moving the dinghy outboard.
• AB11 rib with aluminium hull, jockey seat, under seat locker with battery, back rest/hand hold and steering wheel. Foward bow locker seat with fuel tank storage. Yanmar electric information panel  on jockey seat console.
• Yamaha 25HP 29.2 hours (November 2025) remote control outboard with electric start, tilt, raise with electric Yamaha information panel on console.
• Custom chocks to store on foredeck in winter.

Safety Equipment

• 8-man Viking Rescuyou liferaft mounted on port rail.
