For Nautor Swan, the number 48 holds a special significance. One of the most legendary Swans ever built was launched in 1971 under this number — the iconic Swan 48. Designed by Sparkman & Stephens of New York, arguably the most renowned yacht designers of their time, this remarkable yacht triumphed in some of the world’s most prestigious offshore races, including the Bermuda Race and the Transatlantic Race, and earned selection for the Admiral’s Cup — the “Formula One” of sailing in that era.
Yet racing was never her sole purpose. Like every Swan, she was created to be the ideal family cruiser — capable of safely and comfortably sailing around the world. The latest generation of the Swan 48, from which Sierra is hull number 47, designed by Germán Frers, once again embodies the perfect balance of performance, comfort at sea, and exceptional liveability both on deck and below.
