1.2 HULL & STRUCTURE
1.2.1 Construction
Hull:
The XR 41 composite hull is moulded into a female mould based on a 5-axis-milled plug using latest
technologies.
Hull construction: Vacuum-infused, post cured epoxy construction, using foam core, biaxial E-glass
skins and local E-glass and carbon fiber uni-directional reinforcements strategically positioned for
strength and weight optimization, post cured epoxy Extensive carbon reinforcements in structural
components. It is designed and built according to ISO 12215 (European Standard).
The hull has a five-year warranty against osmosis.
1.2.2 Structural Bulkheads
Bulkheads are bonded to hull and deck.
The XR 41 features a combination of composite bulkheads and light weight marine plywood
bulkheads.
1.2.3 Keel Structure
The keel structure consists of a hot galvanised, high strength steel frame which forms an integral part
of the hull structure. It is capable of absorbing loads from keel, mast and rig as well as shock loads in
the event of grounding and to transmit them to the hull GRP structure via longitudinal stringers and
transversal floors and ring frames.
The keel structure also has an integrated single point centre hoist for easy and safe lifting and
launching.
1.3 KEEL
Antimony hardened lead T-bulb bolted and glued to cast iron fin. The standard draft: 2.40 m. Ballast
weight approximately 2,650 kg (5.842 lbs).
Each keel is encapsulated in E-glass with epoxy matrix and faired to original keel section templates.
The keel is bolted to the structural steel keel frame.
1.4 STEERING GEAR
1.4.1 Rudder
Rudder blade: Sandwich GRP.
Rudder stock: Solid, high strength aluminium with welded spokes, mounted through a self-aligning
needle bearing at the hull and self-aligning bearing at the deck.
1.4.2 Wheel Pedestals / Wheels
Two wheel pedestals in aluminium, colour RAL 9010.
Steering wheels: 100 cm diameter GRP black composite wheels.

1.5 BOWSPRIT
Two carbon bowsprits for flying asymmetric and code 0 are available:
Race: 1.80 m sprit with bobstay
Sport: 1.00 m sprit with bobstay - this bowsprit will have a removable bobstay and designed to fit an
anchor roller and anchor.
When configuring your XR41 as either Race or Sport, you select one of the above for you XR41, which
will be your standard bowsprit. If you want to switch modes from Sport to Race, you can add a second
bowsprit – see price list for details.
1.5 DECK CONSTRUCTION
Construction: Hand lay-up, full sandwich
Materials: Polyester resin with biaxial E-glass layers with local uni-directional reinforcements.
Deck fittings support: Either plywood or aluminium replaces the foam core.
1.6 BATHING LADDER
Emergency boarding ladder at transom.
Optional stainless steel bathing ladder at transom – see pricelist.
1.7 EXTERIOR FINISHES
Hull: Gelcoat ‘Pure White’ (RAL 9010) with 3 waterline stripes in ‘Light Grey’ (RAL 7035).

2 DECK & COCKPIT
2.1 COCKPIT LAYOUT

3 SPARS & RIGGING
3.1 SPARS
MAST: Fractional double spreader, tapered black painted carbon mast stepped on steel frame,
designed and engineered for the XR 41. Mainsail luff track and sheaves for main, asymmetric spinnaker
and genoa halyards.
Steaming light, windex with light, tube for additional electrical wiring and 2 mast steps fitted.
Combined deck and steaming light optional.
BOOM: Black painted carbon box boom with single line reefing (x1) and internal boom outhaul,
telescopic vang and outer purchase block system.
3.2 STANDING RIGGING
Discontinuous rod rigging throughout with rod turnbuckles.
Stainless steel chainplates for headstay, split backstay and shrouds.

Headstay: Rod with Tuff Luff profile with two grooves.

3.5 BACKSTAY
Split backstay led to dedicated winches port and starboard at transom.
Backstay will either be split backstay for mainsail square top (Race) or centre backstay with split above
deck (Sport) and lines led back to transom backstay winches.

3.6 SAILS

4 ENGINEERING
4.1 ENGINE
Yanmar 3YM30AE engine with a maximum power output of 21.3 kW (30 HP) at 3200 rpm, SD25
saildrive and B20 engine panel with tachometer, engine hours, oil pressure and alarms.
Fuel pre filter with water separator and 12V/125A alternator charging engine start and service battery
banks.
Mechanic throttle/gas lever placed in cockpit.
Connections to optional hot water tank – see price list for details.
4.1.1 Propeller
2-blade folding propeller with zinc anode.

4.1.2 Engine Compartment
Easily accessible engine compartment from companionway stairs and aft cabins; lined with dense
soundproof foam and fire port.
GRP engine bed/engine sump separated from main keel sump.

4.2 PLUMBING
4.2.1 Fuel system
Custom-built aluminium tank with level gauge and inspection hatch located below the starboard main
cabin sofa. Fuel capacity is approximately 110 liters.
4.2.2 Freshwater System
Custom-built polyethylene tank with inspection hatch and level gauge located below the port main
cabin sofa.
Distributed pressurised freshwater system. Total water capacity is approximately 205 litres.
Freshwater intake via EVO intake in cockpit.

4.2.3 Hot Water & Cockpit shower pack
Optional shower pack including 15 liter water heater connected to main engine cooling circuit/ shore
power, shower mixer in head and cockpit.
4.2.4 Greywater System
The galley sink drains overboard through a skin fitting below the galley sole.
The sink in the toilet compartment also drains overboard through a skin fitting. Shower water in this
compartment drains into local sump and is pumped overboard via sink drain to minimize numbers of
skin fittings.
4.2.5 Blackwater System
As standard, a manual toilet, regular size, is fitted in the head.
The toilet pumps into a local 35 litre polyethylene holding tank, which can be emptied using deck
suction, or emptied overboard. Level of holding tank is shown on the Victron touch display.
4.2.6 Seacocks
Forespar Flowtech™ valve pipe faired smooth to the hull outer skin so that when the valves are closed,
the internal plunger and valves creates a flush, fair & fast outer surface.
The Flowtech™ valves are 100% corrosion free, lightweight with strong Marline ball valves.
4.2.7 Bilge Pump System
Automatic electrical sump pump: 30 ltr/min with manual override function.
Manual sump pump: 33 litre/min (@ 45 strokes/min).
Optional additional manual sump pump to meet Offshore Special Regulations.
4.3 REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
Galley: Custom built 140-liter top loading fridge. Air cooled Danfoss BD50F compressor with
evaporator plate inside box.
4.4 COOKTOP
Electric induction cooktop, 2 zone fitted in gimballed section of galley.
The electric cooktop is power supplied by the combi (inverter/charger).

4.5 HEATING
Optional diesel heater with outlets in all cabins, saloon and head can be installed- see pricelist.
5 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
5.1 D.C. Electrical System
The DC system will be a 24V isolated system including digital switching, lithium battery bank and a
combi (Charger/inverter) as standard 24V@160Ah.
The digital switching system will be including distributed control panels and I/O modules. One panel
will be located in the cockpit for easy operating of navigation light, deck light etc.
The combi will be a 24/3000-70 combi that’s powerful enough to supply power to the standard electric
cooktop.
Centrally a 7” digital display will be monitoring the level of all tanks (freshwater/fuel and holding tank).
The display also monitors the state of charge of the service battery, the AC power consumption of the
combi and the shore power delivered to the yacht.
To minimize stray currents, a galvanic isolator is fitted as standard.
The lithium battery bank can be upgraded with extra batteries, 24V@320Ah – see price list.
5.2 A.C. Electrical System
The AC system consists of a 25m removable shore power cable, 230V distribution with ground fault
relays and circuit breakers, a large combi 24/3000-70, dual electric cooktop and one 230V socket as
standard.

5.3 Electronics

6 INTERIOR DESCRIPTION
6.1 INTERIOR STYLE & FINISH
Danish design and architecture are famous for its clean and timeless style. The XR41 interior is
designed to work at open sea as well as moored.
The utmost care has been taken to design the interior of the XR41. From the basic layout to the
smallest details, everything has been carefully chosen to ensure that the XR41 is a perfect Race as well
as Sport yacht.
Interior surface finish is a contemporary but robust imitated walnut laminate.
Floorboards of 19 mm lightweight plates with imitated walnut laminate (and inspection hatches to
access bilge).
Composite companionway with treated surfaces of unvarnished teak. Handrails by companionway in
black powder coated aluminum. Optional handrails alongside coach roof portlights each side of the
main cabin in black powder coated aluminum – see price list for details.

6.2 LAYOUTS
The XR41 will be available in one layout with a spacious saloon, three cabins, a galley and one
toilet/shower compartment designed with a large amount of easily removable furniture for fast
change of mode – Race or Sport.
Standard interior layout
6.2.1 Sail storage/Forward Cabin
The forward bow “cabin” is set up as a large sail/storage compartment with longitudinal and
transverse stringers.
This can be converted into a large removable double center berth (200 x 160 cm max width) with
removable double wardrobes (89 x 70 x 54 cm) to starboard and port with shelves and hangers – see
price list for details “Sport comfort pack 1 - owners”.

6.2.2 Main cabin
The removable port double dining table can comfortably host 6 guests. Seating consists of a partly
removable L-Sofa (200 cm x 78 cm) located in port side that also can be converted into seaberth/sail
storage and a hinged sofa (200 cm) located in starboard side, that can be converted to seaberth and
sail storage.
The coach roof inside is finished in female moulded GRP.

6.2.3 Nav. Station
In the forward end of the starboard sofa there is a foldable chart table/ laptop workplace with laptop
storage integrated in the bulkhead.
In this bulkhead there is also integrated space for the yacht’s electrical switch board as well as extra
navigational equipment, like chart plotter Zeus S 9” from electronic packs. See price list for details.

6.2.4 Galley
Spacious L-shaped galley (160 cm x 168 cm). Large white lightweight worktop, with a removable
rectangular recessed stainless-steel sink with single lever luxury mixer tap.
The island sink unit can be left a shore for racing.
Gimballed 2 zone induction cooktop is standard.
Optional a combined electric oven/airfryer can be added, placed below the induction cooktop – see
price list for details.
Beside the cooktop is a GRP top opening 140 coolbox with sufficient insulation, built in Isotherm flat
cooling plate with air cooled Danfoss compressor.
Lockers with plexiglass sliding doors provide storage space for cutlery and food.
Cupboard with shelves to accommodate further cutlery and optional espresso coffee machine – see

Forward floorboards allow good access to speed and depth transducers.
6.2.5 Standard Head
Washroom located to starboard opposite galley toilet, sink with single lever luxury mixer tap, upper
cabinet, towel rail and mirror.

6.2.6 Aft Cabins
Two cabins are located aft, either side of the engine compartment, with double berth (200 cm x 130
cm)
Optional double wardrobes (103 cm x 70 cm x 61 cm), with shelves and hanging space. The wardrobe
is divided in 3 removable parts to be able to carry out of the yacht. See price list – “Sport comfort pack

6.3 UPHOLSTERY
Cushions/mattresses are high quality dual density cold foam as standard.
Cushions are upholstered in a durable fabric as standard, Fleckless 710 Moon Grey, and following
options: Fleckless Camel, Nature or Navy
