Different types of fishing line call for specialized knots. Take braid, for example. Try tying one of your favorite lures to a length of braid with the wrong knot and you may as well kiss that lure–and any possible fish that might attack it–goodbye. The Palomar knot works with braid and it won't slip. And while the name might make this knot sound difficult to tie, it's really a cinch.
