Recently the iconic sailboat builder J/Boats has been making some interesting moves. The J/88 Oceanvolt, for example, which has an electric propulsion system and the solar panels to power it. Nifty stuff. But the latest J/Boat to hit the water is the J/112E, the third introduction in a J/Boat series meant to be racer-cruisers with a strong tilt towards performance. (If you're not sure what a racer/cruiser is, read Sailboats: What's A Racer/Cruiser). Our reviewer Rupert Holmes spotted a new J/112E at the London Boat Show, and shot this First Look Video.

It should come as no surprise that the J/112E made Rupert's list of three important New Sailing Yachts to See at London, 2016. (Warning: since this article was published on our UK sister-site, if you follow that link prepare yourself to see a few Euro-isms like metres, draught, and £). What may come as a surprise, however, is that cabin. For a builder known for speed, there's quite a bit of emphasis put on the interior of this boat. You saw it in the video—now learn more by visiting J/Boats.
